Precious secondary student, so far, we have seen why education is crucial and should be embraced wholeheartedly by every student. Education is good for all.

But we aren't done yet! Another reason your education matters especially for Christians—is that it equips you to fulfill God’s assignment.

1. Biblical Examples(which you should study on your own and learn from them)

Moses: Educated in Pharaoh’s palace (Acts 7:22), God used his training to lead Israel.

Daniel: Studied Babylonian literature (Daniel 1:4, 17) and served kings faithfully while honoring God.

Jesus: Learned and amazed teachers with His wisdom (Luke 2:46–47). His study strengthened His ministry.

2. Scriptural Mandates

2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to show yourself approved unto God.”

Proverbs 4:7: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.”

3. Contemporary Christian Examples

Billy Graham: His education in theology equipped him to preach worldwide.

A.W. Tozer: Though not formally educated, his dedication to study made him a voice still shaping Christianity today.

Christian professionals: Doctors, engineers, teachers, and businesspeople who use education to serve God’s purposes in their careers.

4. Application to Nigerian Students

Education helps you understand Scripture better, defend your faith, and combine spiritual gifts with intellectual strength.

A Christian student who becomes a doctor can use education to heal bodies and faith to heal souls. A Christian engineer can build infrastructure honestly, unlike corrupt contractors.

Final Word to Nigerian Students

Secondary school is not a scam—it is your foundation. It is both a national duty and a divine responsibility.

Education is not just about what you get, but about what you become—and how you use it to serve others and serve God.

Take school seriously. Don’t just chase certificates—chase transformation. Let education shape your mind, refine your character, and prepare you to build a better Nigeria and fulfill God’s purpose for your life. May God's grace be multiplied unto you.
