Now that you know that your teachers are crucial to having a successful academic career in secondary school, what should you do?

•Honour and love them,

•interact with them,

•don't esteem their instructions and teaching lightly - take them very seriously,

•profit from their wealth of experience - ask questions,

•pray for them,

•open up to them as appropriate on areas where you're not getting it.

•ensure you are not frustrating their efforts over you,

•ensure you are gaining the right values from them, not wrong ones.

Some may have their flaws; maybe flaws that we cannot overlook, but it doesn't mean they have nothing to offer you.

Finally, be thankful that you have them!

Without them, it would be a difficult journey to maturity in your academics and in life. But because you have them, your journey will be much more easier.

I'm thankful for all the teachers that have taught me till date, especially my secondary school teachers. Without exaggerating, I benefited so much from their advice, skill and dedication to work. Many of the study techniques I applied that stood me out as an excellent student, I learned them from my teachers.

Special tribute to my AFSS Ikeja teachers, all of whom shaped me for excellence while I passed through the corridors of AFSS Ikeja. May God bless and reward them!

Action point:

Take note of those good attributes you can learn from, and emulate them.

These  salient tips will help you make every minute of your secondary school journey count! Enjoy it with your teachers guiding you as they should.✨

We would love to get feedback from you!
