So, how does one determine which skills to learn? The first step is to think deeply and explore one's passions and interests. Ask yourself: What activities do I enjoy? What sparks my creativity? For some, it might be creating art, music, or writing, fashion, while others might be drawn to robotics, coding, or language proficiency. Perhaps you're interested in sports or other physical activities. Whatever it is, it's crucial to identify what resonates with you and nurture it.

Seeking guidance and support from parents, older siblings or mentors is also vital. They can offer valuable advice and encouragement, playing a significant role in helping us develop our talents. Mentorship can provide a support system for your growth, helping you navigate challenges and celebrate your successes. There are many settings in which you can learn skills: online via YouTube or online courses, skill acquisition centres, learning under trusted experienced hands, computer training facilities, and so on. Look out for any of such around you.

As you embark on this learning journey, it's essential to prioritize enjoyment and minimize pressure. Avoid competition, focus on personal growth and fulfillment, and acknowledge your achievements along the way. By doing so, you'll cultivate a positive and rewarding experience that fosters a lifelong love of learning.

You will agree with me: whether soft or hard, skills are non-negotiable in today’s world. They set you apart, elevate you beyond your certificate, and open doors of opportunity. So, I challenge you, start thinking about the skills you can master. Don’t just learn to earn; learn to solve problems, create value, and leave your mark on the world.
