The title of this post reflects a popular wish, or prayer, that students receive whenever exams are about to commence.

But what really makes for success in your exams?!

PREPARATION: for those writing the UTME that begins today, and starting the WASSCE later this month, the season for preparation has actually begun since you started senior secondary school. We can only hope you laid a proper foundation during those times when the exam did not seem near. The past few months have also been a season of intense preparation. But they were meant to stand on the foundation of diligent attention to academics during the 3 years in senior secondary school.

CONFIDENCE: during the examination proper, you need confidence. To remember and put down the right answers to questions within the allotted time, you need confidence. To avoid the temptation to cheat, you need confidence. To attempt questions that seem impossible or difficult at first glance, you need confidence and patience. Then, the question opens up and you are able to answer is satisfactorily.

GOD'S GRACE: No man has any success unless it is granted to Him by God. A heartfelt prayer to God is a demonstration of trust in His power to crown your efforts with success. God's grace can make up for your lapses, grant you favour before the examiners, and make you succeed beyond your expectations.

It is on God's grace that we rely, and pray for you that He will grant you good success in all your examinations this season. We also implore you to commit your ways into His hands, and He will establish them!
